In this workshop, each participating country used a robot of their choice—such as a Photon, Bee‑Bot, Blue‑Bot, or another available robot—and children worked in small teacher‑guided groups to create and perform a robot dance routine. The activity began with an introduction to how a dance is created: choosing music and designing choreography made from a sequence of movements. Each group selected a piece of music and programmed their robot with a series of dance commands, with every child contributing one step. The children then imitated the robot’s movements as it “danced,” observing how each programmed command translated into real actions. For example, when working with the Photon robot, a left turn meant the children turned left, a right turn meant they turned right, a sound triggered clapping, and a color change signaled raising their arms. Children could also write down their sequence of commands to better understand the structure of the program. At the end of the workshop, all participating countries met on Teams, where children proudly presented their dances—either live or through video recordings—from Poland, Finland, and Slovenia.
